The Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch and the Blanco Satellite launched OPERATION RHT (Remembering, Honoring, Thanksgiving) on November 14th & 19th 2018 respectively, for all our 23 Club Veterans.
The Operation consisted of a Ceremony which represented all Branches of our Country’s Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. It included the reading of the Honor Roll of Veterans; a Cake memorializing all Branches of service; a Military Toast; a Poem “Veterans Salute”; and the sharing of stories by six of our Rotary members.
Each Veteran was awarded our “Rotary Armed Forces Veterans” pin; a Pouch with a US Flag Star and a “Thanks for your Service and Welcome Home” message.
The ceremony was an active illustration of Duty, Honor and Country. It was truly a manifestation of Serving - each other, our families and children, our Communities, our State, and our Nation.
In addition to its Veterans, our Club ensured that their Spouses, significant others and widows were recognized for their willingness to sacrifice and serve alongside their love ones.
In summary, it was a privilege for our Rotary Club to take the time to honored its veterans through this special ceremony. It is a joy to experience anew how each Veteran continues to embody our Motto: Service above Self.
